Using a credit card via Paypal

I have been collecting money to book tickets for a large group of us. I was going to put it on my credit card and as I've had to buy a lot of other stuff for this event as well, all the money I have collected has gone on my credit card (I am organising it on behalf of a friend).
Now the company I was going to buy the tickets through is charging a booking fee per ticket which comes up to about £25 unless I pay via bank transfer. I can't do that as I don't have the physical funds - I'm still awaiting payment from some people to come through.
The only way I can figure out to do this is to send the money via Paypal, using my credit card as the funding option, to someone (obviously someone trustworthy!) who then withdraws it from their Paypal and transfers it into my bank account so I can then pay the invoice via bank transfer.
It seems ridiculous but is there any other way of doing this? I'm not withdrawing cash on my credit card.
Thank you.

Depending on how much the tickets for a large group of you cost, the Paypal fees will be higher than £25. I'd just buy on the credit card and accept the fee.
"Sending or receiving money between friends and family within the UK (in GBP) : Free when funded by the sender’s PayPal balance, bank account or debit card. If you use a credit card to send money, a fee of 3.4% + 20p applies."

Thanks for your reply. I had never considered Paypal fees! As it is I was able to wait until payday to purchase the tickets, and minused the funds I had put on my credit card from my own bank account, so it all worked out. But it had never occurred to me about fees. Thanks!0
