Ceiling Extractor

Hi All,
I'm looking to install a new ceiling extractor over my island in the kitchen rather than have a clumpy big chimney which will ruin the open plan space of what is actually a rather small area.
I wondered if anyone can recommend any that are less than £1000!
TIA

"Buy me, Lady", said the frock, "and I will make you into a BEAUTIFUL & WHOLE & COMPLETE human being".
"Do not be silly", said the Man, "for a frock alone cannot do that".
"True", said the Lady, "I will have the shoes and the bag as well".

The Ikea one is £750, but if they're selling it at that much, you know the others are more expensive.
The other option is a wall mounted fan a bit like a bathroom one to meet regs and leave the area over the island free. It depends on how desperate you are to have the moisture removed from directly above the hob.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

I will have a look at the IKEA one - do you know the name of it?
It's the cooking smells as much as the moisture. I'll also be subject to building regs.
ETA - Found it! Unfortunately I was referring to the ones that sit flush to the ceiling! What about one that pops up from the counter top when you are cooking, and sits being the hob? Then when done using, it pushes back into the counter.
Online they look to vary from £500 + but they are lovely, and an alternative to worrying about bulking vents hanging overhead?0 -
You wont get anything decent at £1000. A good one will be closer to the £1500 mark. A lot of companies have got in on the bandwagon and most of it is rebadged Italian rubbish. I can think of only two companies that do it will and they arent cheap. We’ve had to remove your signature.
