Can I get a refund for flights I can't use

I bought flights for my son and his girlfriend from Jet2. They have since broken up and neither want to use them now. Jet2 have a no refunds policy but someone told me today that although you can't get money back for the flights, you can claim back the fees and taxes. Anybody know if there is any truth in that. Jet2 charge 50p a min to ring thier customer service so I thought I'd try here first.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

You definitely cannot claim back fees, but you can claim back the taxes. However, it is likely that the administration charge for the claim will be more than the actual taxes.Gone ... or have I?0

Agree with dmg24 - don't bother, it's not worth the time and effort for what you'll get back!0

Can't you change the flights?0
