Clarity Card Query

in Credit cards
Hi All,
I have just received a Clarity card and I realise that if I use my card for a shop purchase or to take out some cash at an ATM I am incurring interest on a daily basis.
My question is how to I transfer money from my main current account to reduce the interest I pay?
Thanks in advance.

Daily interest is only incurred on cash withdrawals, not on purchases. You can pay by FP from your bank account to a Halifax account with your Clarity card number as reference - I think the account number is eight zeros, but check the details in your Halifax online.Evolution, not revolution0

If your current account is with Halifax you can pay the card off online easy to do. There's no interest on shop purchases if you pay in full by the date givenMortgage free wannabe
Actual mortgage stating amount £75,150
Overpayment paused to pay off cc
Starting balance £66,565.45
Current balance £56099
Cc around £32000 -
If you also have a Halifax current account it is very easy to do. I have the Halifax banking app on my phone and payments to the card are very straightforward. If you can get wifi or a data connection abroad you can make a transfer.0

Why take out cash on the credit card if you plan to repay immediately? Just take it directly from your main account.
As said, no interest on purchases if you pay the statement in full every month.0 -
No doubt it's a foreign currency withdrawal overseas, using Clarity being the cheapest method available.jennifernil wrote: »Why take out cash on the credit card if you plan to repay immediately? Just take it directly from your main account.
It should be noted that a payment will be allocated first to pay off any balance that is already statemented, then to cash withdrawals, then to recent purchases not yet statemented, in that order.Evolution, not revolution0
