Housing association tenant, how do i find out if i have the right to buy?

My mother recently passed away and i received her tenancy with One Housing group in Camden. She's been a tenant for nearly 30 years and i couldn't find the original paperwork anywhere so don't know if it was always with One Housing or if she transferred from Camden council at some point. The tenancy has now passed to me and i'm trying to figure out if i will receive the right to buy discount or not.
I also saw that the right to buy scheme is supposed to have been opened up to more HA tenants, but all the stuff i saw was written early 2016 saying the scheme should start in the summer, but i've found nothing more recent to say whether it did start or whether it got scrapped. And if it did start, whether it would apply to my situation or not.

Have you asked the HA?0

Ask your landlord (HA) or take the eligibility quiz on the RTB website.

The answer i get from the eligibility test depends on whether my mum transferred her tenancy from the council originally, which as i said, i don't know.0 -

No, not yet. Me and my mum have had a rather unfriendly relationship with the HA for years, having to make repeated complaints to get any repair work done, even going over their heads at one point to get the health and safety officer for Camden involved to force them to carry out work which they had been refusing to do for years.
They have a history of being less than honest and less than reliable, so i was hoping there was an independent way of doing some of this research.0 -
I'm a One Housing tenant in Camden too. If you don't have the right to buy it as an ex council house, then you may have the right to acquire although that only gives up to £16,000 discount. Otherwise the right to buy is due to be extended to HA tenants in due course. Even then there will be some properties that aren't included in the scheme so you would need to find out if your property was included.0

The eligibility test is based on the current situation where some HA properties have preserved RTB if they were transfered from the council. RTB for HA tenants is expected to start near the end of this year. The answer i get from the eligibility test depends on whether my mum transferred her tenancy from the council originally, which as i said, i don't know.
Once this starts you should be entitled to buy the property if you have lived there as a tenant for over 3 years but I don't know what discount you could receive. It may be based on your mothers tenancy or it may be based on your years in public sector housing.0 -
Camden tenants voted against stock transfer (or an arms length management arrangement) in 2003, this has been well documented as they have subsequently been denied government funding to help achieve the decent homes standard. Therefore it is unlikely that your Mum did have preserved RTB rights from a previous council tenancy.
However, that is not to say that some properties have not been transferred.
Had she ever moved or had she always been in the same property? If it's 30 years in the same property are there any other long standing neighours that you could ask?
However, regardless of what you can ascertain, the definitive answer will come from the HA.0
