Cost of cutting a new loft hatch?

Our loft hatch is above the top step of the stairs, it is too small for a loft ladder.
What would I be looking at, cost wise, to have a new hole and hatch door installed on the landing, no ladder needed.
Also, who would do this? Called a ladder company, but as the house is 1930s they would not be able to do this.

I've done it, with a ladder, and it wasn't particularly hard.
The difficult bit is making good the original hole.0 -

The original hole has a glass hatch, then a skylight above, so would probably want to keep it.
BTW, I'm not a DIYer, so there is no way I'm doing this myself!!!0 -
General builder or a carpenter. You usually need the joists/noggins round the hatch doubled up.
You might pay £500 or £1500 depending on where you are (and how much old lath and plaster has to be made good around the new opening).A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0 -
Google loft hatch installers in your area.0
