Can we stay in Alton Towers Hotel with Tesco Vouchers?

As the title says really.
We are busy saving up our vouchers in order to go to Alton Towers next August with our children.
Hubby can get half price entrance tickets through his work but can I book the Alton Towers hotel with the tesco vouchers.
If not can anybody recommend a hotel within about 30mins of Alton Towers that errs on the side of luxury that we can pay for with tesco vouchers. If its going to be free might as well push the boat out.
There will be two adults and three children and on research some hotels do have family rooms that we could all stay together which would be ideal for us.

Have you read any reviews on the Alton Towers hotels? It certainly doesn't "err on the side of luxury"0

If you can't use your vouchers then may be worth considering travelodge at uttoxeter/rugeley if you book early you may get a £15 room.0
