Marmite was £2.27 for 250g pre-'marmitegate' in Tesco.
Then the day Tesco went back into stock it was £2.35 in the main grocers (including Aldi) except Sainsburys £2.50 and Asda who ran an offer at £2.00.
Morrisons have broken ranks today and pushed the price to £2.64.
It's all happening!

Just when you thought it couldn't get any more exciting.
There's a 200g Marmite and, to give us choice, many of the retailers selling the 250g version are stocking it. Unfortunately for the consumer the choice doesn't extend to the price. They charge the same for 200g as 250g - £2.35 or £2.62 in Morrisons.
I don't mind making a prediction or three
- when inflation starts to hit the grocers are going to act as a herd
- they'll try and 'kitchen sink' it. i.e. expand margin rather than maintain
- we're going to see the demise of the marmite 250g jar0 -

please don't get too upset
I understand Corbyn will be making an announce soon that he will nationalise all marmite production and make it free to all momentum members and people who send their children to grammar or private school or anyone born in a manor house and anyone who has 'bought' a seat in the lords.0 -
No idea about Marmite
But as a fully subscribed member of the sneering liberal elite, I have noticed the price of a bottle Krug Grand Cuvee slightly ticking up at my local Windlesham Golf Club.Don't blame me, I voted Remain.0 -

According to my spending diary, a 250g pot of Marmite cost me £2.35 on the 10th of September this year in Tesco. Probably some sort of surcharge to get it over the Severn crossing. If you think of it as 'us' verses 'them', then it's probably your side that are the villains.0 -

I'd join momentum for free marmite. I like to put so much of it on toast it actually hurts to eat it.0 -

So, who's side are we on. The manufacturers of marmite, or the purveyors of marmite......i.e., Unilever, or Tesco?.......I ask you.
It's a pigging publicity stunt, just like the 'so called' terror clowns.
Just for the record, I'm a Marmiteista, spread thin, on nice medium sliced toast, WITH BUTTER, NOT SPREAD..._0 -
