Try Gumtree or sometimes you may find whole properties for rent on spareroom.co.uk but that's very rarely...I would recommend starting off with Gumtree:jFinally going to be a homeowner:T0

I second gumtree...also local newspapers.
...Even local facebook groups to that area, sometimes you can request if anyone has anything to rent out.0 -
Keep looking on Rightmove, Zoopla etc. There are on-line agencies like Upad and Openrent which private landlord use to advertise on RM etc.
The advert should say that it is a private landlord.
Also, try Streelife. You can start a thread saying what you are looking for.0 -

You only have to pay the agent's admin fee when you find a property you want to move into so you should only have to pay the fee once, not as you say "paying out all the time". The only reason you're likely to lose that admin fee would be if you've got a bad credit rating and don't pass their checks e.g if you have CCJs or haven't paid rent on previous properties. However, you'll know if you're likely to pass any checks which private landlords should carry out in any case.0
