Accident abroad

Hi,
I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction.
I had an accident when I was abroad. I hired a solicitor based over there and he has now asked me to get a medical assessment here in the UK as it would be easier and would be fully valid to use for the claim.
I've asked my GP if he know where I can go to get the assessment but he only pointed me in the direction of a UK based solicitor. Was not interested at all to help.
Do you guys know where I can go to have this assessment done.
It is a knee injury.

Thanks in advance,
astjon

Well if your GP isn't going to do the assessment or refer you to someone then you'll need to seek one out a surgeon specialising in knees privately.

    Thanks for your answer.
I did contact company called Mobile Doctors, as they advertise medical assessment. But they only do it upon request from a solicitor

Google "knee surgeons" in your local area.

Have you spoken to your overseas solicitor and asked if they will be able contact Mobile Doctors and make a referral for you?

    Not a great surprise.

Were you in your own vehicle when this incident happened, or in a hire car? I presume the other driver is at fault.

If your own, then get your insurer involved.
If you were on foot, then it's probably worth getting your travel insurance involved.
