  • OK just to update this

Today I was let go as I lacked urgency in my work, and apparently sometimes I seem lost in my own world

Its a minor setback and I will not give up trying to find the right job

    That's a bummer :(

Did they explain what they meant by that or give you opportunity to change ?

That's the spirit. Maybe fast food isn't for you. The pace of the mass turn around food outlets is pretty frenetic. You'll find the right thing though, if you just keep looking.
  • A thought for you, try something like Travelodge if you can - you can start you on either 8 or 16 hours - though it's somewhere you can also progress into trainee management and the like if you don't mind doing a bit of everything in a hotel.

With the greatest of respect to the OP you can tell when some people won't meet the standard.

Can't fault the OP's attitude though!
