Nationwide Select CC for travel

I wondered why the Nationwide Select CC isn't really rated as a travel CC. It has no commission so that's a bonus. Any reasons why it's not more highly rated?

Mastercard exchange rates with Halifax Clarity/Aqua much better than Visa Card exchange rates with the Nationwide. But it is always useful to have the Nationwide Visa as a backup card.

It works for me. I get 0.5% cashback at home and fee free purchases abroad. I particularly like it for toll charges on motorways, no chip and pin, just insert your card and no fees for what can be fairly small sums of money.
I suppose it is more of a modest all-rounder, rather than a dedicated travel card. That then leaves the door open to have two cards ( Clarity and Barclaycard duo?) rather than one which tries to do everything.0 -

I find mine pretty useful, it's my main credit card. Seem to remember swiping the card to gain entry to a public convenience in Oslo when my girlfriend needed to use it. She withdraws cash on her Santander Zero card when we're abroad.0 -

I believe there's a Jane Austen quote that covers that.0 -
Barclaycard has a new visa card for travel.0
