Cheap Car insurance With Provisional As Named Driver

Just wondering if anyone knows of a cheap insurance company when it comes to having a provisional driver as a named driver.

Tommy, best to try any of the price comparison sites e.g. Go Compare, Compare The Market. Providing the provisional driver isn't the main user and the car isn't anything sizeable or souped up you should find a few reasonable deals especially as they need to be accompanied. Will get more challenging and expensive to insure the driver once they pass (and can then drive unaccompanied)

There is no "one" cheap insurer. It all depends on the postcode and the vehicle and your driving history.

For many years Direct Line were always cheap for me, then the price jumped up and they reduced it but the following year they would not reduce it.
I did a quote and they wanted over £1000 where my current premium is around £400.

You need to try all the comparison sites and then the companies on the comparison sites. And as above you need to ask the question of how much extra when they pass their test.

How old are you and how long has it been since you passed? Do you have no any no claims?
