'Cold call' 'phone calls - just after online order

AS anyone else noticed that cold call increase after doing an on-line order.

Have noticed it in the past after a moonpig order, and more recently after M & S ?!

No never had any of that since the dawn of electronic bay etc .

Made over 30 online purchases in the past month alone, and not had any cold calls.
Maybe it's just coincidence?

Don't give your telephone number.

Not calls but most firms, even the well known ones will eventually spam you no matter how meticulous you are with ticking/unticking boxes to say don't.

Sure enough a few weeks, even months later the emails start requiring you to unsubscribe.

Of course I use an old gmail account for all orders these days that I only check when I need to so not a big problem, just a cheek.

Often when you unsubscribe and give the reason, one of the tickboxes is 'I never subscribed to this' and well they know it already!

I recently had a sudden proliferation of calls, but I couldn't recall who I'd just given my phone number to. I'd just succeeded in getting them down to once a tall time.
