now Bradford and Bingley are not doing too well

I have ISAs with B&B. does this have the 100% protection on under £2000 and 90% over that and up to £35,000?

Should we go draw some out as soon as possible?
I'm stressed enough over this - please don't add to it.

  • You have to transfer it to another ISA, otherwise, you'll lose your tax-free status for that amount you have with B&B.
  • Yes - get straight to your branch and withdraw it ALL so you can hide it under your floorboards, then go to your nearest supermarket and buy as much bread, bottled water & tinned food as you can carry! HURRY BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE!!!

Alternatively, use it to light the fire!

You could have over £35k if you had a Tessa.

What do you mean by B&B not doing so well - people selling shares..?
  • Shares down 15% today. A&L down 31%, and NR down 35%.

Not a good day for the banks that rely heavily on the money markets for funding.

If you feel the need to transfer it is quite easy. I have just transferred two large amounts (mine and OH) to Kent Reliance.Email them or another you might like the look of and they will send a transfer form.

B+B has never done very well, has always had a problem with steep rises. :(

if it was 250 free shares given on flotation they now worth grand sum of 697.50, all time high worth something in region of 1200 + ish. :(

I'm just waiting now for the reply that says Kent Reliance are in trouble. It's like a merrygoround all this! Nowhere is 100% safe - except National Savings
