Credit from old meters to smart meters.

We are having Smarr meters installed on Wednesday on pay as you go.

Will we lose the credit that is on the old meters or will the guy move it onto the smart meters and as we have about £100 on gas we dont want to lose it.

Why on earth are you on a pre-paid meter - that's just about the most expensive way of paying for power!

No of course not, that would be theft. It will be easy to transfer whatever credit remains on the old meter . Any debts can also be transferred. Your new smart prepay can be easily transformed into a credit meter (credit history check ) where you can lower your tariff by probably 20% going on a fixed yearly direct debit tariff.
