The frau has it in her head that we need to paint the brown upvc window frames white. She hates the brown, as do I. I think the paint will look a bodge job and !!!! and we would be better saving to replace the windows fully.
Anyone ever painted their upvc frames or thoughts on it?

You can buy paint for use on upvc frames, never used it so can't advise, seems a shame to change windows if its only for colour reasons0

Internally, yes. They look good but it took time and effort. Removed the rubber gasket, masked off the glass, cleaned them thoroughly with upvc cleaner then it took two coats of Zinsser BIN with a light sand between coats, a single coat of acrylic undercoat the two coats of eggshell.
We have the gaskets a good clean before refitting and replaced the handles too.
These were rosewood coloured originally:

Just to be clear, you left the outside the original colour?
And how durable has it been, any peeling or chipping?{Signature removed by Forum Team}0 -
If the weather was nice you could remove the sealed units and paint empty frames. Zinsser is the stuff to use ...

Perfectly durable, no peeling or chipping.
Yes we left the outside as it is. Not to my taste but inoffensive. Horrible inside though and impossible to coordinate with hence painting white.1
