Advice

I have 250k that I wish to invest, however 48k of that is accounted for paying for my mother's nursing home per year.

    You haven't actually asked a question, but you will gain information by reading the numerous threads about investments/savings .

    Just to add to the previous reply, no one here can give advice. You may get suggestions and ideas but it's not advice.

    If you don't understand about investing then you may want to speak to an IFA
    Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.

    So you might need all of that 250k over the next five years. Don't be doing anything risky with it.
