I paid £216 deposit for car insurance with ecar for a car then the sale fell through. when I contacted them for advice I was told that if I cancelled I may be charged £30 and was advised to find another car and change it over but when I couldn't find one within a few days I cancelled. I have been refunded £140 which I find is daylight robbery is there anything I can do about it?

Did you ask them how they calculated the refund at £140? Did you cancel within the first 14 days since setting the policy up / receiving documents?0

Hi I cancelled the policy seven days after setting it up. It is hopless trying to get through on the phone so I'm hoping that they will answer an email that I sent.0

Gut feeling says they have charged you for 7 days cover plus an admin fee for cancelling. Wait and see what they answer they give in their email back to you thoughBaby Ice arrived 17th April 2011. Tired.com! :j0
