re-laying paving setts

Different people call them different things. The brick size paving setts. Are you supposed to have a little gap between them when you put them down? Is this acceptable? I've never seen it before so i'd say no, but then i'm no expert in this & can only go off what i've seen before - which has been no gap. Where I live we…

They'll be just contractors for the council / gas firm (or whoever it is that's organised the carrying out of this work) so i dare say they're not that bothered about doing a 'proper job' & have very little care in what they do, unlike if you was to get out a landscape gardener for example.

I'll try dig out the details of the gas company as i assume that's who i get in touch with.
