Radiator valves - straight/angled

Hi all,
I have bought a towel rail where the inlets are on the bottom. The previous radiator had side inlets.
Can I buy a 90 degree adapter to turn my side (angled?) valves into straight vales without having to change the valves themselves? I understand if I have to change the actual valves then I need to drain the whole system, which I want to avoid doing if possible.
I can't find an adapter online, but I might not be looking in the right places.
Thanks in advance.
LL.

You need a male-female elbow - Probably 1/2" BSP if you intend to use the tails off your old radiator. One like this http://www.angelhomebrew.co.uk/en/taps-and-fittings/81-12-bsp-90-street-elbow-male-female.html
A decent independent plumbing supplier will probably have something off the shelf. That kinda rules out the likes of B&Q or Screwfix.Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –
