Money Moral Dilemma: Should I spend my voucher twice?
Comments
-
I had a similar dilemma.
I had problems with an order which meant it had to be refunded.
The amount was credited back to my payment card twice.
I emailed with full details, dates, CC transactions refs etc.
The company never got back to me & the duplicate transaction was never cancelled.
As far as I was concerned I'd already had hassle from them and the email fulfilled my obligations. I didn't think it reasonable for me to chase them again to fix their mistake.0 -
This dilemma has a very obvious answer. Just ask yourself the following question:
AM I A DECENT, HONEST PERSON?
Simple............................0 -

Use it again, of course!
Do these companies pay tax?
Does this company have zero hour contracts?
Does this company give two hoots about it's customers?
Of course not.
Spend it and enjoy it.
Most companies happily rip us off.0 -

Just spent itNothing to see here, move along.0

Hate to admit this, but I think although I'd want myself to pick the better answer, in all reality I'd consider the answer to two things; first; has the company done anything to pss me off without apology or trying to rectify things and second; how big are the company and will they miss the money? (eg the larger the company the higher the sale point of items the less likely it's going to cause them anything other than more admin and finger pointing to find who was to blame.
If I felt an affinity to the brand I'd want to help them out. If I felt the brand didn't offer me any respect or had customer service skills I'd feel a bit bad for spending the voucher, but inside my head I'd never live it down.0 -
I would not be able to use it again.
Recently my OH came back with a voucher that he had been given back when it should have been put in the till.
I could use it again but I will not, it would feel like stealing to me.
I once had two deliveries made for a Thorntons order, I rang them to tell them and they told me to keep it with their compliments and enjoy it.0 -
I was in a store last week and watched as an elderly woman was attempting to return a 'Brand' item she bought from the store.
They refused to accept it as she did not have the receipt with her - saying there was no evidence she had bought it from them, even though the lady on customer services had been on the tills the day before and admitted she remembered selling it to her.
So much for 'corporate fairness'.
Now if I were you and had the voucher been from this store I wonder what I would do?????0 -
