Cheap Chester accommodation for 6 - any ideas?

Hi folks
We're really struggling to find inexpensive accommodation around the Chester area for our family of 6 to visit a very ill relative, probably for the last time altogether.
We have a budget of £200-£300 and haven't found anything in budget for a week's visit towards the end of next week.
We've tried Airbnb, Travelodge, youth hostels, holidaylettings, Hoseasons, Sykes Cottages, Owners Direct and they all seemed to have upped their rates since we last used them a few years back and it's the school hols too.
We'd be happy with a static caravan or anything more shabby than chic - don't need a bidet, just four singles and a double. Happy to travel away from the Chester area up to 15 miles out.
Any suggestions appreciated!

Upped the budget to £400 and 30 mile radius, still struggling!0

The trouble you have with the dates is that half term for schools start today for those that have two weeks and next week for the rest ,so as a result prices are inflated and places booked up. Have you considered a caravan or lodge?Life is like a bath, the longer you are in it the more wrinkly you become.0

Yes, willing to consider anything at this late stage!
Mind you, don't fancy camping and even glamping works out too expensive.0 -
Caravan in Rhyl ,32.5 miles away for £348 22nd-29th October, Marinepark site, although the beds aren't as required 2 twins and 2 doubles but maybe an area you might find something suitable0

have a look at the Travelodge or premier inns etc in Birkenhead or ellesmere port . 20 minutes on the TRAIN TO CHESTER CENTRAL:cool: hard as nails on the internet . wimp in the real world :cool:0

Had a look and they're all booked! Can see a few in North Wales for a minimum of £793 for the week!
This is the first time we've ever required accommodation for the whole family at this time of year, coinciding with the school holidays, and what an eye opener it is.
As a last-ditch attempt we are currently looking at piecing together several shorter stays in different locations, but again looking exceedingly pricey!0 -

This is about 30 mins from Chester, it was a really lovely place to stay.0 -
Wrexham is about 20 mins drive away, you'll probably find prices cheaper in that area than nearer to Chester.0

Thanks for the suggestions folks.
Still awaiting confirmations, but it looks like we'll have to split our week between two locations in Hoylake and Farndon, at a cost of around £700!0 -
