I would lose the storage and half of the beroom next to it and have the stairs going up through the storage cupboard towards the front of the house. Bedroom 5 would need to be reconfigured but you would gain the space over the stairs so may work out.0

The other option is to move the dining room wall so that you can have the stairs coming up between bed 2 and 5 so that you loose equal amounts from each bedroom. move to door to the mast bed so that you have 3 doors at the top of the stairs.0

Hi there. It is my floorplans, think they have confused you, they did confuse me first! Bed 1 is at the front of the house, so above the lounge and Bed3. Beds 2 and 5 are at the back, directly above the Bed4/Bath/Dining Rm0 -
U shaped stairs starting in the front guest room, thro the wall to dining room and landing upstairs where they are at present is the easiest way to do it.0

You are right, and it was the first thing we thought of but its just the thought of losing a big chunk from my front room - the room is currently a spare, as both rooms are downstairs, but I can see it becoming my bedroom as the kids get older and giving them both the ensuite bedrooms upstairs. Its 4m x 4m0 -

Also, thinking of headroom for the stairs. Directly above where the If stairs started at the door of the front guest room - directly above there is the master ensuite of Bed1.......0 -

That is what I thought. I flipped the top plan 180 degrees then tried to line it up with the stairs as best I could. Without being able to overlap them I can't be sure but both of my ideas would have the stairs finishing in very similar places upstairs. The first one would give you a strange shaped bed 5 (could possibly just turn it into an open office landing) the second option which is much more work would put the stairs central to Bed 2 and 5 upstairs keeping things more uniform and balanced.0
