I have a couple of cheapo box type hitch locks from Aldi.

I had a trailer parked outside my house and it attracted the attention of a couple of gents of the caravan dwelling persuasion passing in a Transit. When they realised there was a lock on the hitch, albeit a cheap one, they drove off. Anything is better than nothing.

I prefer the box type locks as they make it difficult to remove and replace the hitch itself (two bolts)
