MS change of condition.

Hi

It's been approx 3 years since being diagnosed with Readmission MS

After my recent 4th mri scan Ive since been diagnosed with Primary progressive MS

I still continue to work full time and drive.

I receive PIP/working tax credits.

Just got my 50% cost road tax 2nd year this week.

Is it ATOS I have to inform of my recent diagnosis?(Atos have done all my work support and pip etc since 2012)

I don't think I can wait for next PIP assessment whenever that may be as I excpect my condition to decline over medium time scales.

sorry if i read wrong.

but do you mean you need to apply for "employment and support allowance" (as will not be able to continue to work) or that you want to "report a change in circumstance" for a higher / different tier PIP award ?.

if you don't want to do either of the above, then you don't have to inform them, but can do if you want i THINK (as you are already in receipt of PIP, and will continue to be going forward) > not 100% though, hopefully someone can confirm.

T.b.h ive never had to speak to atos unless requested to do so 1st pip re assessments when notified.

Thanks for the contact info, think i'll call when I can to let them know what you call 'change of circumstances' I don't have ms docs follow up mri scan appointment until 7/11 when possible treatments will be mentioned though likely to be from next year at best.

Existing pip since 2012-don't have award letter in front if me as its with dvla for 50% road tax.

Pip approx 307 per month
25 per week working tax credits

Pip is made up of reduced motibility, living at home alone etc.

Ms has worsened and will continue to worsen over time.

Work have ordered a orthopaedic type chair.

Your kind link confirms I should call pip.

My exisining PIP is standard PIP+standard motibility.

Hello,I also have primary progressive MS,my condition had got worse over the last year,I already had the mobility part of PIP,and lower rate for daily living,I informed Atos and sent a care plan and a letter from my MS nurse to support my changes.
As a result I did not require a face to face review and was awarded the higher rate for both mobility and daily living.The key to this is to send supporting information from the people who assist with your MS ie social worker and MS nurse.

I'll stay as positive as possible at least until 7/11 and make the phone call to PIP asap.

Where does a care plan come from is it ms doctor or atos?

Found time to call that provided pip tel number this. Morning.

I'll get a letter with forms etc, maybe an assessment.

Thanks all at least this time I've taken steps to ensure I'm getting support as ms progresses.

I have until 17th Nov to return it.

With my oerthapedic chair appt@work Fri and MSmri review 7th Nov.

I'll speak to MS doc 7th Nov and enquire about a care plan and possible treatments.

Started Vitamin D (5600) last week, not bad at least It's only 1 per week.

MS suppport chair ordered, 2-3 weeks.
Should get some support from this new chair, thankfully.

That's the change of circumstances form completed today posted with hospital contacts and info as required.

Took a bit of work from home, thankfully I have my recent tech purchase Cannon Airprinter/copier to gather required evidence.

Dwp were very keen to have this from returned with a mention of possibly stopping my existing pip if not returned.

Posted today in advance of 17th Nov.

That's a worry lifted.
