Now THATS what I call money saving! Excellent result on Amazon. As for cards...I think you got an amazing bargain there. I also like buying cards(can anyone guess why I NEVER have any money???)Penny-Pincher!! wrote: »Postage for 4 books I sold on Amazon last night, but have been paid out by buyers so zero spend on that. Made £18 profit after postage was paid.
OH bought 10 different nice greeting cards for £1 from Card Zone
....bargain at 10p and mainly anniversary, get well soon, new home and sympathy cards which normally cost a fortune. He also bought 4 packs of Anchor butter (2 for £1.20 x 2 = £2.40) and 4 pints of milk for 99p. Also a can of Dr Pepper for DD as she got the bus home-50p....so todays total is £4.89, but reckon we saved more than that on the cards alone!!

Spent £1 on the bus fare to my new job (woo hoo!) and walked home 4 and a half miles to get fit (legs throbbing as I type!). Lunch was in the subsidised canteen and I got 2 courses for £1.27. Taking in sarnies tomorrow to save that!
Until last week, I would spend £7 a day on the bus, so the new job's a vast improvement particularly as it gives me the option of walking / running / cycling home too which also saves a bit of cash! Aiming for a NSD tomorrow.Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!0 -
Had to laugh annie! Do you really love supermarkets? I have to be in the right mood that's for sure. Sainsburys was a nightmare....a gazillion kids all running around like it was an adventure playground. :mad:Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.
Sainsburys Loan: Cleared July 2010
Credit cards: AMEX Airmiles Card: direct debit set to clear balance monthly
