Annie - I did not see that you had started the spending thread, I looked for the thread, could not find it so I started one as well. :embarasse :embarasse

PLEASE forgive me - I am just going to post to re-direct people here.
I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

  • £47 for a garage to come out and start my car :-(

Turns out it was sold to me with a dodgy battery (recently replaced!), so that'll be another expense this week...

Here's my post from t'other thread:-

I've had a good day today:-

Bought stuff in boots with a pigsback voucher and got 11p change = +11p

Then bought £8 worth of stuff in sainsbury and used my nectar points and spent £1.09.

So my total spend today is 98p - does that count??? ;)

  • Postage for 4 books I sold on Amazon last night, but have been paid out by buyers so zero spend on that. Made £18 profit after postage was paid.

OH bought 10 different nice greeting cards for £1 from Card Zone:confused: ....bargain at 10p and mainly anniversary, get well soon, new home and sympathy cards which normally cost a fortune. He also bought 4 packs of Anchor butter (2 for £1.20 x 2 = £2.40) and 4 pints of milk for 99p. Also a can of Dr Pepper for DD as she got the bus home-50p....so todays total is £4.89, but reckon we saved more than that on the cards alone!!

  • Hello anniestar! Our paths haven't crossed for a while! Hope you are ok hon?

    Well today I have spent:

£0.48 posting a little gift to a friend
£3.99 on a new, quite funky, 'pop up' linen basket in a Discount Warehouse place
£0.65 on a bottle of AJAX for kitchen in warehouse place too
£1.25 on a little gift box - I already have the gift....a necklace I bought a while ago and have never worn! So bit of a saving.
£22.68 on some groceries & a birthday card in Tesco
£30.14 on other groceries & razor blades for fiancé in Sainsburys
£14.49 (inc p&p) on some hair product

Quite a lot of spending today but hopefully that will be it for the week on a large scale!
Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.
    Sainsburys Loan: Cleared July 2010
Credit cards: AMEX Airmiles Card: direct debit set to clear balance monthly
