Is this sort of conduct not likely to bring their honourable profession into disrepute?

What would happen if they issued court papers and you entered a counter claim? Would it not cause them a bit of inconvenience.

    "honourable profession" ???
By the very nature of representation of a person on trial a solicitor would fight to prove his or her client not guilty regardless of the facts whether they are indeed guilty or not guilty. It is I am afraid a very corrupt profession and has a knock on effect to those working in close proximity.

Indeed, that is what one pays them for. But I very much doubt if any solicitor would wittingly disregard (i.e. show no respect for) the facts.
