Remortgage and needing Fensa certificate for windows

Hi
Hoping somebody can help, we are looking at remortgaging our house and have been asked for a Fensa certificate for our windows that we replaced just over a year ago. We have not been given one and actually have not been given anything from the window fitter what can I do?

I'm having a similar issue but with our house sale as we deliberately chose a FENSA professional but it turns out he failed to register the installation and is now no longer trading.
If the fitter was FENSA registered, then you could use the FENSA postcode checker to see if the window fitter registered the installation with FENSA. If it was registered, you can then just order a new copy of the certificate (cost £20).

For the purposes of the remortgage, just tell them you don't have it and see what they say. Remortgages can be somewhat laxer in requirements than sales. You may still have an issue in the future if you have a fussy buyer, but there are ways round it with indemnity insurance etc.0

I just paid £29 for indemnity insurance for lack of FENSA for my property sale.0

Was it just windows you had replaced or was there other work done needing building regs approval? I've just had some work done and the BR certificate covers the windows as well with no Fensa needed.0
