My wife bought a set and they were faulty. It looks as though the replacement is too. What happens is when pressing the buttons to change the scale, it either stays the same or the machine switches off. If buying as a present, I would suggest testing this just in case.
Nigel.
If you're refering to switching between Kg's and pounds, it sounds like you haven't read the instructions properly. The button is meant to switch the scales off as well as changing between Kg's and pounds.0 -
Got a set - thanks OP.
Oh and to change kg to lb/oz hold down the on/off button..it eventually goes off (keep holding it down) and then it comes on again with some word - let go now and hey presto it measures in kg.0 -
Had these - they're not very good - don't last long. Had a replacement but that gave up the ghost a few months after.
Bought some at Lloyds for very little more. They're far sturdier - not so plasticy & have had for 2 yrs - still look like & work like new.
Wait till they have them at a knockdown price in Lloyds chemists - they sell them for about a quarter of their normal cost - there's no comparison!0 -
I love my digital scales (not Lidls tho') Mine measure in ounces, pounds, grammes and kilos. they also have a program where you press the button after weighing say flour they you can add sugar to the correct weight, then butter etc.
just wish they'd measure in cups!!!!0 -
I got a set for this price at weekend in home bargains (Ithink...could have been instore as that was next door)
They weigh in metric and imperial, switch between the two, says it can add more weights as described by sandy2, lol, etc!*** Friends are angels who lift us to our feet when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly ***
