Trustatrader membership, review thus far

Signed up to join Trustatrader two weeks ago.

My experience thus far has been pretty poor compared to my experience with Checkatrade.

The same day as handing over my money all my ID, checks, references were sent over etc.

Communication has now dwindled to a standstill. Nothing through the mail, one email in two weeks saying they're working on it.

Really is a poor show for an upcoming rival to Checkatrade.

Has anyone else had dealings with Trustatrader?

I thought most of these sites had become pretty discredited nowadays as the reviews can easily be faked or removed by the business if they aren't complimentary. I would find mention of Checkatrade or similar on your website to be more of a turn-off than a positive. Good tradespeople tend to rely on unsolicited recommendations from their customers which they achieve by doing good work at an honest price.
