My son is going to Australia for 6 months on a working/travel visa. He is an Arborist and hoping to find this type of work along the way. We are having great difficulty in finding travel insurance. Can anyone help please?

No normal travel insurance policy covers work abroad.
You need to speak to a specialist insurance broker - Google gave me plenty of hits but I can't say if they are any good or not.0 -
I know STA do this sort of cover - see http://www.statravel.co.uk/travel-insurance-comparison.htm#flexi
Don't know how competitive they are, but there will be others doing similar cover as working holidays down under are very common. Maybe try Trailfinders and other travel companies that cater for backpackers.0 -
Take a look at alpha travel insurance, they do all sorts of gap year type insurance that allows you to work0
