End of lease experiences

I am due to hand back my Nissan Leaf in February next year but I'm already toying with early termination and the purchase of a car that I can keep for 5-10 years (looking at a BMW 3 series or similar).
I will be taking personal finance (hopefully) to fund the new car as I have no equity in the lease vehicle.
I need a car for work and with that in mind I am unable to mess up the process.
I believe it it Manheim who collect the vehicle, does anyone have any experience of this process or with this company?

Hi Geordiepaul2001,
I deal with Manheim quite a bit, how long have you had the vehicle and what sort of mileage have you done in it?0 -
I've had it 3 year in January and it's covered just short of 34k - well under my mileage allowance.June 2016 - Pair of Brooks Glycerin 14's

As you've had a 3 year contract, they should be pretty fair. They tend to go by the BVRLA fair, wear and tear booklet.
However, just be aware that although Manheim do the initial inspection it maybe due a further inspection the day they collect it and take it to their compound.
If you don't agree with anything they put don't just say that you reject their findings. But just remember, if they don't put even the tiniest of scratches down they aren't doing their job properly and can get penalised themselves.0
