To celebrate the release on DVD of the first adaptation of John Steinbeck’s novel, win a copy of Of Mice and Men.
Set in 1930’s California during the depression, Of Mice and Men tells the story of George and Lennie, two itinerant workers wandering in the Salinas Valley searching for work and peace. The two men care for one another and dream of a better and decent life. George’s (Burgess Meredith) and Lennie’s (Lon Chaney Jr) search for a safe haven worsens as they have to face the harshness of the world around them.
The film adaptation of John Steinbeck’s Of Mice and Men was first released in 1939, and is now on DVD from Arrow Films on September 24th, priced £12.99.

This is the best version ever and would have won an oscar if Gone with the wind and the Wizard of Oz hadn't come out at the same time!
I recommend this version to all my students when they study Of Mice and Men and paid a fortune for a copy of it from America.
