We visited the house we were purchasing a number of times. But it really depends on your relationship with the seller with regards to how this will go down.

Our situation was unusual in that the seller was very open with us and we had a key to the house following our offer being accepted (yes really). We also went to the house between exchange and completion to clean / take some bits over and keep an eye out for the sellers awol cat (seller had moved out by this stage). I know people will say that the seller was naïve to do this and I don't disagree in principle but that is what happened. I definitely do not recommend this action to anyone and I did not share my key with my seller!

To add - regarding measuring up for bespoke furniture - DO NOT DO THIS. As others have said, it is madness, until exchange the seller could pull the sale on a whim.

I'd be so annoyed if a buyer kept wanting to come and view the house again and again.

    Not even sure why, really...
