Drying clothes in garage

If electric heaters catch fire the reason is most likely to be because they were being used to dry clothes and the clothes were placed so as to block the heat outlet vents of the heater. In fact most heaters are specifically labelled telling you not to block the vents..0

We have a tumble dryer in the garage, so it doesn't take up kitchen space.
Yes,they have been know to catch fire, but ours is only used when someone is home and the time needed is far less than the time a heater would have to be used, so the risk time is less.
When they were a new idea, we wondered why people would want one ,except as a luxury item for those who had everything, but now find it very useful.
I seem to remember thinking the same about CDs, video recorders and , many years ago....fridges (having been raised in a terraced house where food was kept cool on a brick slab in the pantry.0 -
We have a hot water cylinder in a cupboard large enough to hold a clothes horse."A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

Again, why not get a condensing tumble dryer and do it properly? No condensation to think about, less space than one of those airers and a dehumidifier, quick, efficient. A family really should have one.0

Get a heated airer like this one:
