What colour spotlights for kitchen?

I've just fitted a new halogen spot plate to the kitchen and I want to use energy saving GU10s in it (partly to save electricity and partly to reduce the heat as there is a plastic fitting on the ceiling). What colour should I get?
I need the highest power bulbs possible and have seen some 6400k "daylight" ones at 13W (higher than I have seen elsewhere) - has anyone tried them. I hear good things about "warm white" (which I can get at 11W) but for a kitchen, whiter "cleaner" light might look better. But not blue!
