Vent - Post Office customer service number

When ringing it, you go through the motions of press 1 for x 2 for y etc.

Then to get the message "due to unexpected circumstances we cannot take your call". So I tried three different phone routes and the same message. As sometimes ringing a different department can be quicker as some call centres internal calls transferred go in front of the queue. Can't name any examples

If the whole Post Office call centres are experiencing problems then why can't they put the recorded message at the beginning of the call?

It's their way of revenge due to the number of post offices the government has closed down.

Also if it was an Indian call centre the same problems could apply when you can't understand the accent or they haven't a clue what your complaint is.
