Kings Mall Car Park Hammersmith

I had a bit of a shock when I arrived at the Kings Mall car park in Hammersmith this week, having not been there for a while. The car park is smaller than it used to be, and the spaces are really small. I drive a Ford Focus, and I had to squeeze myself out of the door, and I am not particularly over weight. The worse thing is the tariff. As soon as you are there for longer than 4 hours, the price rockets up:
Up to 2 hours: £3.
Up to 3 hours: £4.50
Up to 4 hours: £5.50
Up to 6 hours: £20.00
Up to 9 hours: £30.00
Up to 12 hours: £40.00
Up to 16 hours: £50.00
Up to 24 hours: £55.00.
I appreciate that these prices are aimed at attracting shoppers, but there isn't really anywhere else to park in the area. I work long hours and late at night, so need a car to get home at the end of the day.

If you work late, are there no 'on-street' local areas where permit or P&D or even single yellow 'CPZ' restrictions end at 6pm? Could you time a break for a bite to eat and stroll over at 6pm to move the car on-street?
What about your employer or colleagues, what do they suggest to resolve this?
Is there a monthly permit option at another local car park which would be cheaper?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

The evening on-street parking in Hammersmith starts at 1830. If I could move my car, then I would still have paid £40 as it's over 9 hours after I arrived. The traffic around the one way system at that time would mean that it would take over half an hour to get out of the car park and travel to the street parking. I am freelance so my employer is not involved. I work on a random basis for a few days at a time, so a season ticket is not an option.
The main point of my posting is the extortionate charges for the car park. The prices are higher than NCP car parks in central London, and have been hiked beyond recognition. The maximum daily charge used to be £15, which is reasonable.0 -
A Ford Mondeo bought brand new today is over six inches wider than a Mondeo bought in 1998. Upsizing has made old car parks seem too narrow for today's vehicles.0

Maybe but this is a brand new build.0

My main reason for posting is to warn others like me, who only use this car park occasionally, that the prices have rocketed up in the last year.
Also I find it odd that Councils don't seem to have any obligation to arrange reasonably priced parking in their area.0 -
I used to have an office in Fulham Palace Road, the whole area is awful for traffic and parking.
How about parking in Westfield it's £8 per day, a new express parking scheme coming soon at £6 per day.
It's just three stops to Hammersmith from Wood lane, or two from Shepherds Bush Market.
A bit of messing about but cheaper, trains every 10 minutes!0 -

Yes thanks for that. I did think about trying Westfields next time I'm working in Hammersmith. Is it still accessible at about 1130pm?0

I believe the car park is open 24 hrs, the shops close at 10pm, but there are restaurants, a cinema, and pubs that open longer which it caters for.
The car park facilities are great, safe, and it has one of those find a space indicators too.
If you have a Tesla (I wish) they also have free charging!
The only stipulation is that if your car is parked for more than 48hrs they consider it abandoned!!0
