EON chasing for money that I don't owe from 7 years ago !

    I doubt any company would routinely connect your name and details on a new account with a previous account.

    I suspect an internal audit team have been tasked with chasing outstanding 'debts' and then if they are specifically looking for someone can find them easily.

    Have Eon produced to you any bills from that period - including the final bill you?(or the LA?) paid, or can your bank show what you paid by cheque/transfer?

    Fortunately we have two excellent Eon reps Hellena and Malc who contribute to this forum and I expect they will post next week and offer to investigate for you.

    I don't think I can actually add much at the moment, I'd just be speculating.

    I think I really just need to see the account, it sounds like you've got the information together, as we would need the tenancy agreement. So this is great.

    It sounds like you have spoken to us already, is there a complaint raised on the account? If not we need to get one [FONT=&quot]raised[/FONT] for you, then we can go from there, investigate, find out what's been going on and get this sorted out for you.
