I'd prefer to not have to lie though :D
So you don't have any bills and expenses then? That's unusual.

And you're happy with your existing budgeting? So much so that another account wouldn't help?

A nicely vague (but not untruthful) phrase with which to answer the account purpose question is: "in order to manage my finances better"....

Why would you say that when you could just as easily say...

    It's for bills and expenses.
    It's for rental income.
It's for my secondary income streams.
It's to help me budget better.
    Etc
    Etc

    I used phrases similar to YB's 1) & 4) above

    Agreed.

    Same here, which is why I didn't use YB's 2) & 3) above, but was perfectly comfortable using 1) & 4).

After all, earning 3% interest on an extra £10k does help me 'manage my finances better' ;)
  • Have had 2 BoS Vantage a/ccs for a while now and just tried to open a third. A few seconds after submitting, this came up and has been there half an hour; no explanation, no email, no nothing. file.html

Did the application again this afternoon and it was fine. You do have to input basic info they already have, but at the end it's approved in seconds and the new a/c appears on your online portfolio straight away.
