Backpack/rucksack

A few years ago I bought a Eurohike rucksack, think it was about 60ltrs, in a sale for about £25. The strap has broken on it now so need a new one. Anyone have any recommendations - don't want to pay about £50 for one - I'm in London if there's any local shops in the West that anyone can recommend if nothing on internet? I've had a look on Blacks' website and a few others...

    60litres is quite big.

You really need to probably pay up a bit.

Here is one (might be too small) Lowe Alpine Walkabout Air 35 Rucksack for £40.

Alternatively they are giving 15% of all orders above £75 on full price items.

    Will keep looking

Aktive8 are a good company (and if you search around there are 10% vouchers around)

    http://www.aktive8.com/s/Large-Rucksacks/1.html

This might suit (cheapest i could find for 60l)

Or Tesco value rucksack for £19.97

    Search Tip:-

"Google products" and then enter Rucksack and the size to keep it manageable change the size for a new search eg 60l; 65l etc. There are a lot more in your price bracket than I thought there would be.
  • If you pay less than £50 for a 60 litre rucsac then it probably won't last that long or be particularly comfortable to carry... but then it depends what you want it for... Let us know and can give some better advice... :D
  • I did some very similar research recently and ended up buying the Karrimor Global 70/90 litre through Quidco and Blacks for £80... however, I notice that the 50/70 version is currently on the website for £150!

Don't know if this helps, but there are quite a few on eBay advertised as new or nearly new... of course, you want it to last well but the Global comes with manufacturer's lifetime guarantee, so even a second hand one should keep you going, particularly if you can get it for under £50.

Sports World stock Karrimor now and you can pick up their rucsacs dirt cheap, might be worth a look, I go hiking/walking regularly and use the ones I got from there.
