    Totally agree. The house my wife and her sister own is about 30 years old and is freezing cold and cut corners are being to light. The Plymouth house is approx. 120 years old. OK, new roof and had some plastering done but I know which build I prefer.

    Oh and a builder who was employed building new flats said you start at one end and shoulder barge the walls to the other end.

    Mine is 1934 build. Really solid construction. Planned works for next year will see it happily last several more decades.
