UKPC Parking Charge - Leaving Site

Hi all,

First of all thanks for the information you guys have posted on this site. It's very helpfull but i just want to clarify a few things. I recieved my final notice to keeper today so i've sent them this template in the appeal:
Dear UKPC,

I am the registered keeper of vehicle registration ........ and I am in receipt of your ‘Notice to Keeper’ received today 11.9.2013 about one of your invoices ref ....... which you dress up to impersonate a parking ticket. I request that you cancel this invoice as you have no cause to charge me or the driver. Moreover, there has been no breach of any terms and no loss caused.

Should you reject my challenge against your revenue-raising and unenforceable 'penalty' charge I can tell you that I will be complaining in writing to the site owner/retail park management and to Trading Standards about your aggressive and unjustified ticketing of customers. I am aware that various local Trading Standards Departments already have files on UKPC's business practices and that your firm was taken to Hull Crown Court in 2011 but I wonder if your client in that car park is aware of all the facts. As well as complaints about UKPC I will of course also be sending a robust appeal to POPLA including details of your failure to comply with the BPA Code of Practice and Schedule 4 of the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012. I will elaborate further at POPLA stage unless you cancel this fake PCN immediately.

Would this be ok? I got a charge for leaving the site but i only went to the cash machine as my partner went to grab a table in a Nandos.

A bit in your face. Why not just say I was a passenger and did leave the site. The driver did not and went into Nandos to book a table.


That should confuse them.

I omitted the first bit which i agree was a bit in your face haha. I was just very angry, these parking companies are just dicks. I ended up copying and pasting the template letter on the sticky on the thread.

As TD says they would have an uphill struggle making this ridiculous made up charge stick!
