Removing Google Search Bar from Moto G4 home screen?

    Same as you remove any other app fro the home screen on my Android....Press, hold and slide off. If that doesn't work on the G4 then you may have to disable it from the app..Press and hold the bar, a new menu should open which gives you the option to switch on or off.
    Of course, another way would be to load another launcher.
    My wife has one so I'll check tomorrow for you, if no one else has the solution.

    I was searching last night on internet but no success, need this Google search bar removed from Moto G4?

    Use a launcher where you can do this instead of the one you are using now. Why do you find the search bar so problematic?

    With previous Samsung and Moto mobiles, it was easy to remove and get bit extra space on home screen. I am sure there is a way but I haven't found it yet?

    I'm not sure that's true with the Moto. I've an original Moto G and the only way you can get rid of the Google search bar is to install a a different launcher. In my case the Google Now launcher.

    OP, as promised, I've been checking out various theories for removal on the G4 and as far as I can tell, another launcher is required.

  • Can it be moved around the screen..if so cant you just drag it to another spare screen you dont use

    cant be moved to spare screen. But its easy to move your overflow apps to the adjacent screen, don't see it being a problem. Its very handy to do a quick search with
