Settled CCJ time up

Hi all, my wife has a CCJ on her credit file, it was settled a couple of years ago with no problems but the "6 years on file" time has now elapsed. We checked her file today but it's still on there. Do we have to apply somewhere to have it removed now?
Many thanks.
Many thanks.

Hi Manamaga,
Credit files can sometimes take a month or so to update, so if the CCJ was done some time in September 2010 it may not have updated yet. You may want to wait 1 or 2 months beyond the 6 year period as there can sometimes be a small delay.
However, if it has been much longer than this I would suggest you start by contacting the credit reference agencies and ask them to up date the file. Hopefully, this should be quite straight forward, but if you can't get it resolved you can go to the Information Commissioner.

That's great thanks for the advice. It is very recent so will probably get Christmas out of the way first :-)
Thanks again.0
