Hi. I live in Cornwall and have two young girls.
There is a zoo, at Newquay. Not bad, quite small, quite pricey but worth a visit. Dairyland Farm World is great and has a good indoor play area too which if the weather is dodgy, is good. Again, quite pricey. If you like cycling, the Camel Trail is a great cycle route. You can hire bikes there (we usually go from Padstow). Tag-along bikes also available. Depends on how energetic you are feeling being 26 weeks pregnant! Other good places to visit are Blue Reef Aquarium (Newquay), the Eden Project, Crealy Adventure Park (Wadebridge). As for beaches (as i'm sure the weather will "buck up"), the best one by far for me is Crantock (near Newquay). It has a great river - so get the tides right - which kids can play in for hours and avoids gettings stressed taking them into the dangerous sea. For shopping, St Ives is lovely and Truro is great. As for eating out, it depends where you're staying? Most places tend to hike up their prices during the school holidays so you may be okay now. Prob. better to self-cater. Let me know where you're staying and may be able to give you more specific info.
You'll have a lovely time, a lot of tourists have now gone home so roads and towns are a little less congested!0 -
Hi, we went to the Eden project and it was fantastic. We also went to the Aquarium in Plymouth. Obviously it depends on where you are staying but Looe is also lovely. Have a great time!0
