Midway through mortgage, now paid off some debts

Hello
So I've been actively lurking on the forum anytime I've needed some financial help but I thought I would post after not being able to find an answer.
So me and my wife have a 5% mortgage promise in place with Halifax, they gave us the promise and said go and find a house and make an offer which we did and then I paid the survey fee to the bank so they could survey the property, I've also paid some fees to the solicitors.
Then here's the twist a few years ago I had a few debts which I paid back but I recently got a letter saying I still had an outstanding debt which I forgot about this was about 5 years ago. So after panicking I spoke to my parents and they agreed to pay it for me. (Lucky I know)
Now it's all paid off but I have to go to the bank on Monday which he said to do to sort out insurances and things like that and get it all signed but now I'm worried that it's going to affect our application.
Have I got a reason to worry or is the next meeting all formalities and a case of crossing a few t's ans dotting a few i's
Should I let the bank know the situation and if it affects me should I just ask for my wife to be the sole mortgage applicant?
Thanks

I don't understand. The situation as you originally explained it to the bank was that this debt didn't exist. The situation you're in now is that this debt doesn't exist. So what's to let them know about?0

When I applied for the mortgage I thought the debt had been paid, they did a light credit check and I was approved for the mortgage promise since then I have found out that I had an outstanding debt which o have now paid off which I am worried if they do a different credit check will it be flagged up that I've just recently paid a debt0

Have you actually got a decision in principle with Halifax, or just the agreement in principle?
Have you obtained copies of your credit report from Experian, Equifax (ClearScore) and Call Credit (Noddle) to see if the debt shows on any of them?I'm a Board Guide on the Credit Cards, Loans, Credit Files & Ratings boards.
