Advice on funding for a correspondence course

I have a son who has just dropped out of college. He has completed the 1st year of a 2 year course but due to the college being disorganised, no tutors etc he has lost motivation. I have managed to find a correspondence course that will let him compltet the second year but it will cost £795. Could anyone point me in the right direction as to where I might find some funding for this. My son will be 17 when he starts the course.
Sorry for the ramble but any help would be greatfully recieved.
